Condenser Function
The condenser dissipates heat absorbed from the evaporator and the compressor to the outside air. It works to reduce the temperature of the refrigerant during the condensation process. Hot refrigerant gas passes through tubes, where heat is removed, causing it to turn into a liquid. Afterwards, the air flowing through the fins carries the heat away.
The condenser is commonly located in the front of the vehicle between the radiator and the front grille as part of the climate control (or air conditioning) system. Due to its position, it is inevitable that dirt gets into the condenser and affects the condensation process. Hence, the vehicle condenser does need additional attention and avoids the possibility of leaking condenser.
What Makes the Condenser Broken
Drivers rarely notice insignificant leaking condenser due to the cover of dirt or by rock fragments. When the bouncing pebbles hit the vehicle condensers, it causes the leaking as well. In addition, the frequent use of fan or the condition of fan motor cause the weakened fan. The weekend fan rotation is the common outcome of the overheated condensers.
When too much gases trigger excessive pressure and cause higher room temperature, the condenser temperature will be warmer than normal. Consequently, the condenser which functions as removing the heat from ac condition system can not operate properly and cause the malfunctioned ac condition system. Apart from ac condition system, the problem of the broken ac system can result in overheated engine when you unconsciously keep the defective ac condition system on.
